Riyadh Provinces
In the regions system, there are nineteen governorates follow Riyadh region in addition to Riyadh city, the headquarter of the principality. These governorates are:
 
1.      Al-Deri’yya governorate:
The first governorate in the kingdom. Al-Deri’yaa borders are Hraymlaa from the north, Derma governorate and Riyadh city from the south, Riyadh city from the east, and Hraymlaa and Derma from the west. Its area is 2020 square kilometers. Its population is 73668 people (seventy three thousand, six hundred, and sixty eight). It is the capital of the first and second Saudi state. It has archaeological houses of the Saudi governing family built on the ruins of Hajar city the capital of Al-Yamama.

His highness Al-Deri’yya governor and the local council chairman prince/ Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman Aal Saud in the governorate headquarter on Tuesday 14/6/1432H headed the seventh meeting if the local council in its third cycle. All submitted reports are reviewed from the governmental departments representatives who are members in the council and also from citizens and the appropriate decisions were taken.

 
2.      Al-Kharj governorate:
It lies in the south of Riyadh region. Its borders are the eastern region from the east, Al-Mzahmya governorate and Al-Hareeq governorate from the west, Al-Aflaj from the south, and Riyadh from the north. Its area is 19790 square kilometers and its population is 376325 people. The historical monuments and places in it includes Musharraf palace and Al-Yamama town.

Women events in Al-Kharj festival

Today, Saturday witnesses the launching of the women events of
Al-Kharj festival (tourism & heritage 2) organized by the commercial
And industrial chamber at Al-Kharj governorate. The events organized
By the women branch of the chamber will begin with cooperating with (Mn Aglekom) voluntary women association at the festival headquarter in king Abdul-Aziz palace in Al-Seeh town. The supervisor of the women branch of the chamber Hanan Al-Hadeethi mentioned that the events will be today after Al-Maghreb prayer till ten o’clock. The women participation will vary between displaying the old crafts like knitting, spinning, food preparing, popular games, Hijazya gathering, and different activities highlight the region heritage.  

 

 

3.      Al-Dwadmy governorate:
Its borders are Qaseem from the north, Al-Quwai’iyah governorate from the south, Qaseem and Afeef regionsfrom the west, and Shaqra governorate and Mrat village from the east. Its area is 30580 square kilometers and its population is 217305 people. It includes ancient monuments like king Abdul-Aziz palace – may Allah have mercy on him.

Al-Dwadmy governor heads the security committee meeting in the governorate.

  Al-Dwadmy governor mr. Maran bin Quayd headed the security committee meeting in the governorate. Through this meeting many issues important for the citizen and the resident in the governorate were discusses. Also the security authorities were encourages to exert efforts for the comfort of citizens. His highness stressed the necessity of attention and follow-up in work.

4.      Al-Majma’ah governorate:
Its borders are the eastern region and Qaseem from the north, Thadig and Shaqra governorates from the south, Rammah governorate from the east, and Zulfi and Al-Ghat governorates from the west. Its area is 30000 square kilometers and its population is 133285 people. It includes ancient places like an ancient castle called Al-Marqab

On Tuesday 13/11/1432H, his highness governor of Al-Majma’ah prince Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal headed the third session of the local council in its tenth cycle for developing Al-Majma’ah governorate and its villages with the attendance of the council members and the governmental authorities managers. His highness chairman of the council started the meeting held in the meetings hall in the governorate headquarter with a speech in which he welcomed the attendants and reviewed what was reported in the previous session. After that, the agenda was reviewed and also the requests which were referred to the council committees and the procedures done according to the standards. At the end of the session, the council recommended the quickness of rebuilding king Khalid hospital in Al-Majma’ah and the council support for establishin delivery building. The council recommended also the duality of the way which links Bawdaa and Mbayed villages and recommended also to transport (Umm Azer breakers) from its present location because its health and environmental harms on the governorate. The council recommended to provide Al-Artwaya court with a judge to serve Um Al-Gmagem village. This is in addition to discussing other issues and referring them ti committees inside the council.

5.      Al-Quway’iyah governorate:

It is borders are Al-Dawadmy governorate and Mrat village from the north, Wadi Al-Dawaser governorate from the south, Al-Hareeq, Al-Muzahmeya, and Al-Aflaj governorates from the east , and Affef governorate from the west. Its area is 50580 square kilometers and its population is 126161 people.

Building 6000 housing units in Al-Quway’iyah

Al-Quway’iyah governor Mr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Rabi’ah held meeting with a number of housing ministry representatives and Al-Quway’iyah municipality representatives to discuss the arrangements required to execute the housing project in the governorate which comes among five hundred thousand houses which the custodian of the two holy mosques –may Allah protect him- ordered to build them in the kingdom different cities. Al-Quway’iyah governor mentioned in a statement to Riyadh newspaper that “6000 housing units will be built in the governorate and its affiliations; 2000 houses will be built in the scheme number 1205 which is allocated for them with an area of one million and one hundred thousand square meters. It lies in front of the university city at the governorate at the highway (Riyadh – Taif). Al-Quway’iyah municipality will undertake the delivery of all services to the place. As for the remaining units 4000 houses, they will be built in a number of towns following the governorate as soon as the procedures are completed.

6.      Wadi Al-Dawaser governorate:
Its borders are Al-Quway’iah governorate from the north, Najran governorate from the south, Saleel and Al-Aflaj governorates from the east, and Aseer and Mecca from the west. Its area is 48900 square kilometers and its population is 106152 people. It includes historical monuments and places like Al-Khamaseen government palace and Batook and Bahga palace.

7.     Al-Aflaj governorate:
Its borders are Al-Kharj and Hotat Bani Tameem governorates from the north, Al-Saleel governorate from the south, the eastern region from the east, and Wadi Al-Dawaser and Al-Quway’iyah governorate from the west. Its area is 54120 square kilometers and its population is 68201 people according to 1431 census. It includes historical monuments and places like Tupad mountain and Salma palace.

8.     Al-Zulfi governorate:
borders are Qaseem region from the north and the west, Al-Ghat governorate from the south, and Al-Majma’ah governorate from the east. Its area is 5540 square kilometers and its population is 69294 people.

With the attendance of Al-Zulfi governor Mr. Zaid Aa; Hussein and a number of governmental authorities chairmen and managers, the technical college at Al-Zulfi governorate held recently a meeting entitled “management between innovation and entertainment” which was executed by Mr. Muhammad Al-Kbareeti, the member of the training association in the administrative technology department at the college and the holder of master’s degree in accounting specialization frin the Arab academy for financial and banking sciences at Jordan. The college dean engineer Khalid Al-Elewi confirmed that the college is concerned with holding such meetings which serve the community and concerned also with the strategic partnerships with the different community associations in a way serving the governorate.

9.      Shaqra governorate:

Its borders are Al-Ghat governorate from the north, Mrat village from the south, Al-Majma’ah and Thadeq governorates from the east, and Al-Dawadmy governorate from the west. Its area is 4110 square kilometers and its population is 40541 people.

Shaqra governor visits the inpatients in the public hospital.

Shaqra governer Mr. Muhammad bin Saud Al-Helel visited the inpatients in Shaqra public hospital on the occasion of the lesser Bairam. Mr. Abdullah bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Manee’, the hospital manager received him and accompanied him in the visit and presented flowers and gifts to the patient. The governor congratulated the patients for this occasion and wished them immediate recovery.

10.  Hotat Bani Tameem governorate:

Its borders are Al-Kharj and Al-Hareeq governorates from the north, Al-Aflaj governorate from the south, Al-Kharj and Al-Aflaj governorates from the east, and Al-Hareeq governorate from the west. Its area is 7350 square kilometers and its population is 43300 people. In Al-Helwa village following Hotat Bani Tameem governorate, there is Imam Turki castle.

With the sponsorship of Hotat Bani Tameem governor Mr. Ahmad bin Dakheel Al-Maneefi and the attendance of a number of governmental authorities managers, education officials, and a large number of student, the student activity in the education administration at Hotat Bani Tameem and Al-Hareeq governorates held the annual celebration for concluding the student activities for the year 1431/1432H. The celebration included many parts as the minister of education, Mr. Abdul-Rahman bin Saad Al-Quwraighi welcomed the attendants and spoke about the great achievements of the administration through this year in different fields. He also displayed some distinctive models available in the pedagogical field this year. Then the celebration parts continued. They include distinctive models of the student participations in speech, poetry, recitation, and dramatic scene. There were also visual shows including the results of the different participations and contests. The celebration included honoring the governmental authorities participating in the student activities programs. Also, Mr. Khalid AL-Fahila presented a show about the scientific superiority award which was applied this year. The superiority cup for the year was given to: the primary stage “holy Quran memorization primary school at Hotat Bani Tameem”, the middle stage “Ibn Taymyya middle school, and the secondary stage “ Hotat Bani Tameem secondary school” the activities programs of this year were distinguished with their renovation and variation and the emergence of new competitions. Many attendants praised the advanced level of the programs and activities application according to the high level of competition among schools. The celebration witnessed also honorable gesture represented in praising and honoring one of the teachers who is a teacher in the holy Quran memorization primary school, Mr. Sulieman bin Muhammad AL-Atwi for his distinctive efforts with his students in the first primary grade.

11.  Afeef governorate:

Its borders are Al-Qaseem region from the north, Mecca region from the south, Al-Quway’iya  and Al-Dawadmygovernorates from the east, and Medina region from the west. Its area is 26810 square kilometers and its population is 77978 people.

12.    Al-Saleel governorate:

Its borders are Al-Aflaj governorate from the north, Najran region from the south, the eastern region from the east, and Wadi Al-Dawaser governorate from the west. Its area is 42420 square kilometers and its population is 36383 people. It includes historical monuments like Al-Faw famous village.

13.  Dharma governorate:

Its borders are Deri’yah and Hraymla governorates from the north, Al-Muzahmeya governorate from the south, Riyadh city and Deri’yah governorate from the east, and Mrat village from the west. Its area is 2060 square kilometers and its population is 24429 people.

Dharma governor Abdul-Aziz Al-Baheli heads the development committee meeting in Dharma.

The committee of the civil social development held its first meeting in Dharma with the presidency of Dharma governor Abdul-Aziz Al-Baheli on past Tuesday in the governorate headquarter. In the meeting, the working committees were formulated and the committee agenda for the next stage was discussed and the municipality was addressed to find a land for the committee. At the end of the meeting, the committee agreed collectively to rent a headquarter.

14.  Al-Muzahmeya governorate:

Its borders are Dharma governorate from the north, Al-Hareeq governorate from the south, Riyadh city and Al-Kharj governorate from the east, and Al-Quway’iyah governorate from the west. Its area is 3580 square kilometers and its population is 39865 people.

16.      Thadig governorate:

17.  Hraymla governorate:
Its borders are Rmah and Thadig governorates from the north, Diri’yah and Dharma governorates from the south, Riyadh city and Rmah governorate from the east, and Thadig governorate from the west. Its area is 1480 square kilometers and its population is 15324 people. It includes historical monuments like Imam Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahab house, Al-Quarasha mosque, and Al-Qetar mountain.

Hraymla governor, Mr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Qasem receives the scientific institute director and a number of students on the occasion of celebrating the 81st national day.
Among the events of celebrating the 81st national day of our dear kingdom, the scientific institute director at Hraymla governorate visited Hraymla governor, Mr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Qasem in the governorate headquarter with a number of the institute students and with the attendance of the police chief, passports department manager, and traffic chief at the governorate. At the beginning, the governor welcomed everybody appreciating this visit as it reminds us of the great role played by king Abdul-Aziz Aal Saud –may Allah have mercy on him – in uniting this country. Then he listened to a song and speech from the students expressing their pleasure with this precious day for all of us. At the end, the governor asked Allah to protect kingdom of Saudi Arabia from any harm and to receive this occasion in prosperity and development, to keep the kingdom in security and stability, and to protect the custodian of the two holy mosques, his crown prince, his highness second deputy, and his highness Riyadh region governor – may Allah protect them. He asked Allah to repeat this occasion on our dear country while it accomplishes more advancement, prosperity, and superiority…He is the All-Hearing and The Responsive.

18.  Al-Hareeq governorate:
Its borders are Al-Muzahmeya and Al-Kharj governorates from the north, Hotat Bani Tammem and Al-Aflaj governorates from the south, Al-Kharj and Hotat Bani Tamaam governorates from the east, and Al-Quway’iyah governorate from the west. Its area is 6790 square kilometers and its population is 14750 people.

The ole Ghat… returns to the heritage and tourism map with 17 million riyals.

 

The people efforts in Al-Ghat governorate with cooperating with the related authorities have returned “old Ghat” to the heritage and tourism map through a group of projects reached 17 million riyals. The people transformed their folk village from rocky place to a location that can host investments and tourism through qualifying projects aim at reconstructing the governorate historical medium, rebuilding the houses, preparing the fences, market, and the old mosque. This in addition to paying attention to the region surrounding it of mountains, farms, and valleys. Al-Ghat governor Abdullah Al-Naser Al-Sadeeri explained that the qualifying projects will be compatible with the constructional texture simulating the ancient past civilization to the prosper present. In addition, some farms surrounding the old town will be transformed to environmental lodges. He mentioned to the touristic media convoy which roaming the governorate currently that the cost of constructing and rebuilding the lodges is about 17 million riyals. The governorate will receive forty houses during one year and six months. Al-Sadeeri mentioned that there are other projects to develop the national park which is at a distant of 15 meters from the village and the valleys which feed the park. It was mentioned that the project of reviving the old town at Al-Ghat governorate is considered leading project at the kingdom level regarding the way of developing the village and through the local community which provided the donations and support to the project to produce a touristic economic outcome for the governorate residents by transforming the old village to touristic lodes, public utilities, and parks in order to attract the tourists.
