Prince Fawaz bin Abdul-Aziz was born in Taif and he is considered the twenty fourth son of the founder king male sons. He received his studies in the princes school at the palace.
He assumed Riyadh principality in the era of His majesty king Saud –may Allah rest his soul- in 1380H.
After that, he was appointed a deputy for Mecca governor in 1380H.
1390-1400H, he was governor of Mecca in the era of king Faisal bin Abdul-Aziz.
After that, he practiced his private business.
He obtained king Abdul-Aziz cordon from the first class.
He obtained many orders of eligibility and competence from Arab, Islamic, and European countries.
He died – may Allah rest his soul – outside the kingdom on Tuesday 19/7/1429H corresponding to 22/7/2008D at the age of 74 years as a result of a disease. His funeral prayer wasin the holy mosque in Mecca.
