Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was born in Riyadh on Ramadan 1, 1391 AH.
Before his appointment by a royal decree on Thursday as Vice Governor of Riyadh Region, he has been the Commander of Squadron 92, 3rd air wing, at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Region with a rank of Group Captain.
The Prince is a graduate of Air Base Williams in the United States of America, and he conducted a course of Command and Staff at Joint Command College in the United Kingdom and awarded Master of Military Science in addition to Master of Strategic Studies with honors from the University of Wales in Britain.
He is currently attending the final stages of a doctoral degree in International Strategic Studies from the University of Leeds in Britain.
His Military Participation includes the following:
The Commander of the Group of Royal Saudi Air Force that participated in Red and Green Flag exercise in the United States of America in 2010, which is one of the strongest and most difficult exercises in aviation worldwide; and he also achieved accomplishments in the exercise along with the Saudi team praised by many of its participants.
The Prince has worked in a number of air bases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, participated in South Shield War and several air exercises in the Kingdom and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Arab States, and conducted an advanced course in defensive military intelligence in the United States of America.
He has joined several advanced Air Force courses in Britain, France and the United States of America.
He has served as Chairman of the committee for development of Air Force fields.
He has been awarded a number of medals and certificates of merits at home and abroad in his field.
The Prince has contributed to supporting Charitable Solidarity Fund for the Air Force at King Abdulaziz Air Base, as well as Air Force Sports Activities.
He has humanitarian contributions in the fields of pardoning persons sentenced to be killed, as well as reform committees.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Equestrian Fund which has won an Olympic medal for the competition which has been recently held in London.
