The self-service:
The “self-service” device is installed in the main entrance of Riyadh principality for the self-inquiry which is considered one of the modern techniques of information media. The visitor can follow up his request by one of three possible ways: searching by the request number, searching by the letter number, or searching by the bar code. He can also print the review ticket if the request is sent by the principality. If the request is not ended and still under procession, the reviewer can record his mobile number to receive a message when the request is done. This is known as “the electronic facilitator”. He can also read and print the procedures manual. One of the pages added to the system is “the electronic services” which includes the electronic services provided by the principality to the visitors and explanation of each service.
Self-service devices are computers including a set of services placed in the public places and linked to the principality system. They are information points enable the public from using them in searching. Easy design and use were taken into account.
This service is considered one of the modern services linked to the principality system to be one of the linking means between the reviewer and the principality. After testing many services that proved their success over the past years like the inquiry service through the internet, the inquiry service through messages by calling (5225), and the automatic response service by calling (4118844), we wanted to present this service to serve the categories which do not use these services.
The self-service system is computer system providing the person with the service in an advanced way without any interruption from any employee or any other person and by selecting the appropriate item without any mediator noting that this service is not limited to particular time as the reviewer can use it at any time.
The available services in the self-service device:
- Service of inquiry by request number: the self-service devices provide easy interface to inquire about the request submitted to the principality by any person having the request number. The reviewer can access the inquiry by pressing the automatic inquiry and then pressing the inquiry by request number.After that writing the request number, selecting the year, and pressing the request type for the result to be displayed. The reviewer can also print the review ticket in the case of exporting it.
- Service of inquiry by letter number: The reviewer can access the inquiry by pressing the automatic inquiry and then pressing the inquiry by letter number. - Service of inquiry by bar code: The self-service device is equipped with the light reader service to read the symbols written on the requests notes (bar code) which the reviewer obtains when submitting the request for the first time. The reviewer can pass this note in front of the light reader lens and the device will display the requests data and status automatically without any effort.
1- The electronic facilitator service: after searching for the request by one of the previous ways and when the request is being processes, the reviewer can add his mobile number to receive a message when the request is exported.
