Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region issued an order to establish Riyadh Competitiveness Centre to raise Riyadh City's competitiveness, and directed to form an executive committee to supervise founding of the centre, operating, formulating its executive committee and organizing regulations under the chairmanship of Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Special Advisor to Prince Salman, and a number of senior officials.
The step came within continuous efforts exerted by the Governorate of the Region and its affiliated bodies to create an investment-prone appropriate environment, to attract private sector companies, businessmen and investors desiring to launch their projects in Riyadh, in order that it may cope with economic development tempo taking place in other world capitals and cities.
